Shakeila has dropped 2 dress sizes with help of Intermittent Fasting

On the 1 August 2018 I finally reached my goal weight of 9 stones, having lost one stone.  It took approximately a year which may seem a long period of time, but I believe has given me the time to adopt a much healthier lifestyle and routine which is helping me to maintain my weight.

Intermittent Fasting

I have been attending Lesley’s classes for many years, using her diet and exercise tips.  The one that most worked for me is the 2 day fasting Lesley mentioned in one of her class talks.  This works really well for me as most weekends I fall off the wagon a bit.  I feel you need a little indulgence, however, with the 2 day fast it seems to correct those off days.  On my fast days I eat my first meal around lunch-time and try and stick to around 500 calories.  It was difficult at first, but now it’s part of my routine so I’m used to it.  Anyway, if you’re doing an exercise class in the evening, you’ve not much time for a big meal or to over-indulgence.

Benefits

I increased my exercise by doing classes I really enjoy such as swimming, Zumba and weight training, together with a class with Lesley; she runs various classes throughout the week, give one a try they really are fun!  I really think its important to do things you enjoy as you’re more likely to stick with them.  I have gone from a size 14 to a 10 and this summer I felt much more confident in a bikini on my holiday.  My energy has increased massively and I no longer have aches and pains, especially those I used to experience when taking my first steps when waking in the morning and sitting for periods of time.

I prefer not to say I’m on a diet, but have adeopted a healthy lifestyle.  Why not give it a try? You have nothing to lose but weight & everything to gain!
