I joined Lesley Fitness as I had tried other well-known weight loss plans in the past, but these had not worked for me long term.  Lesley’s fitness classes, motivation emails, messages and guidance were a huge discovery.  I wish I had found her years ago.  The ladies are all amazing and not only do we train together; we socialise together.  We are a support network.  I lost over a stone and was feeling happier.

Then COVID hit.  I had all this spare time on my hands and decided to make my lockdown project ME!

Lesley’s classes were now all on-line so we could join from home.  We continued to ‘see’ everyone and keep each other motivated. Consistent training and long walks that turned into running. 

There was no going out, so no eating out.  And the biggest change: cooking from scratch.  No more pre-made food with additives.

SLOW & STEADY

My weight loss and fitness journey has been very slow and steady.  It was kick-started in March 2020 and am still going/maintaining today.  It has taken me five years to lose over four stone but, with the help of Lesley and the ladies, I have found an eating and exercise plan that suits my lifestyle.  When we returned to normality, I could have easily slipped back into my old ways, but I have continued my journey.  It’s about making the right choices.  The health benefits are unquestionable.  It’s the first time ever I have had a ‘healthy’ BMI.

It was not a quick fix with overnight results.  Family and friends do not remember me how I was.  But I do and I do not see myself ever going back.  This is now ME.

WHAT I HAVE ACHIEVED & HOW

I have lost over 4 stone / 60lbs / 27kg.

I now can wear dresses size 8/10 when before I was 16/18.

My waist has reduced by 10 inches from 38 to 28, I have also lost 6 inches off my hips & bust!

Everyone asks me how I have done it? “Move More, Eat Less”
